The students, staff, and even community members of Hayward have been presented with transformations of the schools in the district, and brand new facilities. Some of the new things within the schools include new common areas, soft seating, and even a brand-new fitness center.
This new facility has been made possible by Tamarack Health. Students and members of the community are able to utilize a brand-new weight room, lots of new equipment and machines, basketball and pickleball courts, and even an indoor track.
Meredith Ingbretson has recently been introduced as the Community Education Director of the Hayward School District. When asked about the new addition, she said that it is, “Great for families and residents who are looking to stay active.” She also explained how there are already 125 members within the community, and it has been really good to see more members, and more people participating in things.
Sports teams and students of the community use the Tamarack Fitness Center daily. The indoor track, treadmills and other cardio machines are great for being able to run, even when the temperatures drop. The weight room offers tons of equipment, lifting stations, and even a turf area with sleds. HHS Senior, Bradley Young, explained that he enjoys using the facility because, “It is full of equipment, and it is fit for any person who does a sport.” He also likes the variety of equipment and the ample space that people are able to use.
If you are looking for a place to workout or get active with your friends, the Tamarack Health Fitness Center is a great place to do that.
