Are you looking to watch a movie but don’t know which to watch? I asked several students at HHS if they had any recent movie recommendations, and they definitely had a few. So grab some popcorn, some candy, and a drink so you can relax and watch a new title!
Wicked: Wicked was released to theaters in November of 2024, and is a widely known and liked movie. It’s part one of a part two series, based on the musical Wicked, which is based on a novel of the same name. It has a very long runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Elsa Maki- 4/5 stars. The vocals were incredible and the casting was perfect.
Alyse Beckermann- 5/5 stars. It was a very creative movie and I loved the costumes.
Avigayle Hanson- 3/5 stars. I enjoyed the movie and would recommend it.
Moana 2: Moana 2 was released in November of 2024 and numerous people have already watched it. It’s a sequel to the 2016 movie, and Moana has grown up to be an expert wayfinder.
Hailey Wolf- 4/5 stars. It is a good sequel to a well known children’s movie, and the songs are very good
Molly Eaton-4/5 stars. It was just like the first movie, but with different people, I enjoyed it.
Flight Risk: Flight Risk is a very new movie and was just released to theaters in January of 2025. It’s about a U.S. Marshal (played by Mark Wahlberg) who is transferring a government witness, by plane, to New York. As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions start to rise as not everyone on the flight is who they appear to be.
Kaydee Campbell- 4/5 stars. It was fun to watch and I really liked it.
Ellie Boone- 3/5 stars, it was a pretty good movie. I liked the suspense of it, I would recommend it.
Deadpool & Wolverine: This new Deadpool movie is relatively new, released in July of 2024, many people seemed to enjoy it, or maybe it was just the lead actor in it.
Harper Sheehan- 4.5/5 stars. I love Ryan Reynolds
Kelsey Carothers-4/5 stars. I loved the movie, and loved the actors in the movie, especially Ryan Reynolds.
