The National Honor Society is one of the nation’s oldest and largest school organizations. The three main things the NHS induction board reviews are a student’s GPA, leadership positions, and character. This year’s elected officials are Reese Sheehan as President, Grace Schmidt as Vice President, Rachel Miller as Secretary, Gretchen Gajewski as Treasurer, and Trenton Kirkland as PR Representative. The most important thing the NHS does is host the fall and spring blood drives, which is open to anyone 16 years of age or older. This year’s blood drive will take place on Tuesday, November 5th. Our region has a donor blood shortage, so the need now is more than ever. If you are interested in donating, talk to Mrs. Eytcheson or sign up! Donating blood saves lives!
