It’s winter time, and Chritsmas movies are on your mind. Of course, some of the classics such as Elf, Home Alone, and A Christmas Story are the main focus. Out of these movies one has gotten an absurd amount of hate for no good reason. Like the title of this article says, it’s The Polar Express. The Polar Express is a great, fun, and feel-good movie that does not deserve to get reduced to that movie everyone says is bad because it is the “popular opinion.”
The main point that people bring up against The Polar Express is that the animation is bad. I believe that the animation is not the best, but it doesn’t take away from the movie at all. The people who criticize the movie get very hung up on this point, but I never hear anyone say that Toy Story is bad because of how the humans are animated. Animation can be an important factor in a movie, but it does not define the movie.
The Polar Express has a great sense of wonder from the concept itself: a magical train that takes the riders to the North Pole to meet Santa makes for a great base to build on. The movie has plenty of great scenes, from the train drifting scene to the most memorable, the hot chocolate song. The Polar Express has a very fun presence that sticks with the watcher.
Don’t let the people who say the movie is bad get to you. Have fun and watch The Polar Express this winter season.
